Senior Product Designer – Electro-Mechanical Consumer Devices

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualisation and technical development of dispense devices for FMCG clients, with opportunities to work on smart connected appliances and MedTech devices .
- Develop compelling concept visuals through sketching, surfacing, and digital visualisation techniques.
- Translate ideas into functional prototypes using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo) .
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure seamless production.
- Present concepts to clients, lead design reviews, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee testing, validation, and problem-solving to refine and optimise designs.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence.
Top 5 Must-Have Skills
CAD Proficiency
– Expertise in SolidWorks or Creo
for 3D modelling and technical development.
Surfacing
– Strong understanding of surface modelling for sleek, functional designs.
DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
– Ability to design for efficient, scalable production.
Sketching
– Excellent ability to visualise ideas through hand and digital sketching.
Concept Generation
– Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative
product solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Product Design Engineering (or a related technical field).
- 6-10 years of product development experience , ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, Keyshot, Adobe Suite).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders.
- An analytical mindset with a deep understanding of product functionality and user experience.
