A leading renewable energy company has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical & Electronics Technician to join their team. This is a newly created opportunity and will initially be based on a 6 month fixed term contract. They offer a very attractive salary, benefits package and ongoing opportunities for development, training and progression. The Electrical Manager is now looking to appoint a senior level Electrical and Electronics Technician into the business.

Purpose of the role:
To apply Electrical & Electronics technical expertise to support the Research and Product Development programmes
Responsibilities Of the Electrical & Electronics Technician:
  • Provide technical support to the development and research groups with E&E tasks through the delivery of RTAs (Request for Technical Assistance)
  • Hands-on manufacture and re-working of PCB’s and electrical assemblies
  • Building prototypes from rough sketches and with minimal direction
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of the E&E equipment
  • Work with the E&E Design and wider Engineering teams to build and develop prototypes of systems and associated test systems
  • Use a degree of innovation and technical judgement to interpret requirements and devise appropriate solutions for novel and complex problems

Requirements of the Electrical & Electronics Technician:
  • City & Guilds qualified in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Experienced Electrical & Electronics Technician
  • Hands-on manufacture and re-working of PCBAs and electrical assemblies
  • Building prototypes from rough sketches and with minimal direction
  • Evidence of delivery of work packages on time and to requirements
  • Depth of demonstrable experience of reading electrical drawings
  • Depth of demonstrable experience of reading electronic schematics
